Microsoft has announced that the Web Application Firewall (WAF) bot protection feature has reached general availability on Azure on Application Gateway starting this week.

Microsoft is making a preview available of its Azure cloud bot-as-a-service, which is built on top of Azure Functions serverless compute capability.

Microsoft’s Azure Bot Service has now been used by almost 300,000 developers. That’s up from 240,000 in December 2017, a Microsoft spokesperson told VentureBeat in an email.
